James Hugh Gough畢業於加拿大貴湖大學 (University of Guelph)主修英國文學系。 在台灣的十六年間，曾擔任學校的經理，教師，作家和藝術總監。在此之前，他在加拿大多倫多的電視節目上擔任藝術總監助理。他的第一本繪本創作為《溜冰大冒險》。

James Hugh Gough is a Canadian writer-illustrator based in Taipei, Taiwan. His second book, “On an Island On the Sea” follows an elderly man as he searches for the pals of his youth. It is a beautifully illustrated poem that celebrates the wonders of life and friendship. It lauds the beauty of our journey on Earth, reminding us that there is magic and possibility around every corner.
James Hugh Gough has worked as a manager, teacher as well as writer and art director during his sixteen years in Taiwan. Prior to that, he worked as an assistant art director on television shows including, “Peter Benchley’s, Amazon” in Toronto, Canada. His first book, “The Great Skate,” was released last year. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from the University of Guelph.
